The Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation & Trade are pleased to offer a new series of webinars called Spotlight on Exporting that focuses on specific topics of interest to Ontario companies either looking to begin their exporting journey or those who are looking to expand their current exporting reach globally.
For the first topic of this series, select speakers and subject matter experts will explore current Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that Canada currently has in place which Ontario companies can take advantage of by off-setting custom duties/tariffs and developing predictable export-focused business planning. As well, we will also explore the impact of tariffs on Ontario exporters, and look at strategies that can mitigate the impact of tariffs on their business.
The webinar will include:
- What current Free Trade Agreements does Canada have in place
- What are the benefits of exporting to markets that have a free trade agreement with Canada and how to take advantage of them
- What are tariffs and how do they impact exporters
- What strategies to use in order to mitigate tariffs
